Why the Philippines
One of the fastest growing democratic economies in Asia
In 2015, Manila surpassed Mumbai as the outsourcing capital of the world with over one million workers.
The Philippines was an American colony for 50 years with significant resources devoted to the education system. It's no surprise that Filipino's embrace American popular culture, and their style of English is distinctly American (94% English literacy rate).
The Philippines is a democratic country of over 100 million people, 90% of which are Christian. The university system produces about 400,000 graduates a year, creating a significant talent pool. The Philippines has more CPA's than any country in Asia, with approximately 4,000 CPA graduates each year. Filipino's are world renowned for their friendly, hardworking nature.
Labour costs in the Philippines are typically around one-fifth of western countries.
Now approaching 10% of the economy, the outsourcing industry started in 1992, led by Accenture. Other corporations that have set up operations include Citibank, Hewlett Packard, JP Morgan, Virgin, Baker & McKenzie, Optus and the ANZ Bank.
As a vital industry and growth sector, the Filipino Government has created special economic zones (PEZA). Businesses in PEZA zones receive tax incentives and other government assistance to encourage investment.
How it Works

You’ll be introduced to one of our human resource (HR) managers, who will work with you to recruit, engage and manage your offshore team.
Our people are experienced in human resource management, particularly career development, retention, compensation packages and local labour laws. We can help you optimise your processes, motivate and guide your team, structure your reporting requirements and drive your team’s success.
To begin the recruitment process, we work with you to:
- Allocate an HR manager to your firm
- Define roles and job descriptions
- Recruit your team member(s)
- Provide work-space, technology & communications
- Facilitate orientation and oversee the on-boarding process
- Administer payroll, attendance records & leave entitlements.
Once we have identified suitable candidates, you conduct interviews usually via video conferencing.
We provide extensive reporting and can integrate with your financial processes as required.
